After School Activities
Welcome to SCIS Activities and the Home of the Dragons.
The after school programs at SCIS are varied and division specific.
Lower School enjoy the creative, recreational, sport, and academic after school programs in four 6 week sessions throughout the year.
Middle School students have options in 8 sports that are part of the Shanghai CISSA sports conference, as well as a less formal ASA club session in each semester. Our CISSA sports for 2014-15: Co-ed Touch Rugby, Cross Country, Soccer, Co-ed Floor Hockey, Co-ed Ultimate Frisbee, Volleyball, and Basketball.
In the High School, sports are competitive and merit based with tryouts for selected positions in the core sports of Volleyball, Basketball, and Soccer. Students can also participate in Cheerleading during Basketball, Contact Rugby and Cross Country in the first semester.
Swim Team is a year round sport at SCIS which includes students from grade 2 through 12. The swim team will compete locally in the Shanghai Swim League as well as travel to several international meets throughout the year.
